DHI Technique

Hair loss is a prevalent issue affecting both men and women. Various factors, including genetic factors, stress, hormonal changes, certain diseases, and medications, can contribute to hair loss. Hair loss can negatively impact an individual’s confidence and quality of life.

To address the issue of hair loss, there are various treatment methods available. Among these, hair transplant is one of the most effective approaches. In the hair transplant procedure, hair follicles are extracted from the donor area and transplanted to the sparse region.

The DHI technique stands for Direct Hair Implantation, representing a cutting-edge method in hair transplantation. It utilizes the latest FUE micromotor technique to carefully extract follicles from the donor area at the back of the head. The extracted follicles are immediately placed in the target area using specialized pens called Choi pens without the need for waiting or creating incisions. This technique is also known as the Choi pen technique. The Choi pen allows for the individual placement of hair follicles directly into the recipient area, reducing the time the follicles spend outside the body and accelerating the transplantation process. Placing the follicles with these pens makes it easier to match the natural angle of the person’s existing hair, resulting in a more natural appearance. With smaller incision areas, the risk of bleeding is significantly reduced, and the transplantation is done directly under the skin without the need for channel opening.

Advantages of the DHI Technique

The DHI technique offers the following advantages compared to other hair transplant techniques:

  • More natural results and density: In the DHI technique, hair follicles can be implanted at the same angle as the individual’s natural hair direction, achieving a more natural and dense appearance.
  • Reduced time outside the body: The follicles spend less time outside the body, leading to faster and higher survival rates, ultimately providing healthier results.
  • Faster recovery: With smaller incision areas, the risk of bleeding is minimized, resulting in a faster recovery after the hair transplant procedure.
  • The DHI technique provides a more efficient and widely used method, especially in unshaved hair transplant applications.
